About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced educational leader to join their senior management team as the Assistant Head Teacher responsible for Curriculum and Standards in Oxford . This key strategic role will involve driving improvements in teaching quality, curriculum design, and academic outcomes across the school. You will work closely with department heads and teachers to develop innovative and effective pedagogical approaches, ensure curriculum coherence, and maintain the highest standards of academic achievement for all students. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and implementation of the school's curriculum framework across all subjects and key stages.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective CPD strategies.
• Oversee assessment procedures, data analysis, and reporting to track student progress and drive academic standards.
• Support and challenge Heads of Department to ensure high standards within their subject areas.
• Ensure the curriculum is engaging, relevant, and meets the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
• Contribute to the overall leadership and strategic direction of the school in Oxford .

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Significant experience in a senior leadership role with a focus on curriculum and academic standards.
• Deep understanding of curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment, and school improvement strategies.
• Proven ability to analyse data effectively and translate findings into actionable improvements.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
