About the Role

Our client is seeking an inspirational and dedicated Assistant Headteacher with a strong focus on Curriculum and Standards to join the leadership team of a forward-thinking secondary school in Wolverhampton . This vital leadership position will involve driving improvements in academic achievement, curriculum design, and assessment practices across the school. You will work closely with the Headteacher and other senior leaders to foster a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and excellent teaching and learning, ensuring all students benefit from a high-quality education. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and review of the school's curriculum across all Key Stages, ensuring it is ambitious, relevant, and effective.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, providing strategic direction for improvement.
• Oversee the school's assessment and examination strategies, ensuring robust data analysis to drive student progress.
• Lead and manage a team of teaching staff, providing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to the overall strategic direction and operational management of the school, upholding its values and ethos.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong track record of leadership experience.
• Experience of successfully leading curriculum development and improving academic standards.
• In-depth knowledge of current educational policy, assessment frameworks, and pedagogical best practices.
• Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
