About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced educational leader to serve as an Assistant Headteacher at a well-regarded school in Bristol, South West England . This crucial leadership role supports the Headteacher in driving school improvement, enhancing teaching and learning, and fostering a positive culture for students and staff. You will take on significant responsibilities in areas such as curriculum development, staff management, and student welfare, contributing directly to the school's strategic vision and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Headteacher in the overall strategic leadership and management of the school.
• Lead on specific areas of school improvement, such as curriculum development, assessment strategies, or safeguarding.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across the school, providing constructive feedback and support to staff.
• Oversee student behavior, attendance, and well-being initiatives, ensuring a positive and productive school environment.
• Contribute to staff professional development, performance management, and recruitment processes.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., NPQML, NPQSL).
• Substantial experience in a leadership or senior management role within a UK secondary school .
• A deep understanding of school improvement strategies, curriculum design, and effective pedagogical practices.
• Proven ability to inspire and motivate staff, foster strong relationships, and manage change effectively.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
