About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Headteacher to join the leadership team at their secondary school in Bradford . This hybrid role involves a combination of on-site leadership and remote administrative responsibilities, contributing significantly to the school's strategic direction and operational efficiency. You will play a crucial role in developing curriculum, mentoring staff, and enhancing the overall student experience. Working collaboratively with the Headteacher and senior leadership, you will help drive school improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning across all departments, ensuring a positive and effective educational environment for students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Headteacher in the overall management and strategic development of the school.
- Lead on specific areas of the curriculum and school improvement plans, potentially including timetabling or assessment.
- Mentor and support teaching staff, facilitating professional development and performance management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Oversee aspects of student welfare, behavior, and discipline, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant experience in leadership roles.
- A proven track record of successful school management and improvement.
- Strong understanding of educational policy, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage workload effectively in a hybrid working model, balancing on-site and remote duties.
