About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Housekeeping Department at their hotel in Cambridge . This role assists the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property. You will lead and motivate a team of housekeeping staff, manage inventory, and ensure guest satisfaction related to room cleanliness. This hybrid role allows for both on-site management and administrative tasks to be completed remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, including assigning duties and monitoring performance.
- Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to identify and address any maintenance or cleanliness issues.
- Manage inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and amenities, placing orders as needed.
- Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and hotel standards.
- Handle guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel operations, with some supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper cleaning techniques, and sanitation standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in using hotel management systems and basic computer skills.
