Assistant Maintenance Manager Our client, a leading processing and manufacturing company are in search of an experienced Maintenance Supervisor or Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their highly reputable company. 3 Things to know about the role Attractive salary Day shift role It is in a highly reputable firm Job Duties Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed Apply technical skills and ingenuity to the correction of equipment problems Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment Build and develop a high-performing team through coaching, performance reviews, and by Identifying skill gaps and coordinating training and development. Lead and ensure all maintenance activities exceed safety standards and comply with policies and legislation. Optimise spare parts inventory ensuring ongoing availability. Maintain up-to-date technical and compliance records. Oversee external contractors Manage weekly rotations, urgent repairs, and daily maintenance to support continuous operations. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and address any maintenance-related concerns Adhere to quality standards set by the company and external bodies e.g. BRC. Adhere to Health and Safety, Hygiene and security procedures. Experience: Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining industrial equipment Mechanical relevant Trade qualification, diploma or degree. Electrical knowledge is desirable. 5 years supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent troubleshooting ability.
