Assistant Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, gathering data from various sources.
• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Help to develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards for key stakeholders.
• Process journal entries and assist with accruals and prepayments.
• Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by the management team.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
• Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably with exposure to management accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create spreadsheets and perform analysis.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members remotely.
