Are you looking to develop your accounting career in a role that offers genuine exposure beyond transactional finance?
We are recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant for an established and forward-thinking organisation based in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has gained some practical finance experience and now wants to develop their management accounting skills while working towards an AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification with study support.
Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team, you’ll initially take responsibility for a mixture of transactional and month-end accounting, with the opportunity to broaden your responsibilities as you develop.
Your role will include:
Supporting the month-end close and preparation of management information Preparing and posting journals, accruals and prepayments Completing balance sheet and cash reconciliations Investigating variances and ensuring financial information is accurate Supporting cashflow reporting and wider financial analysis Processing supplier invoices and assisting with payment runs Maintaining accurate general ledger records and audit trails Assisting with year-end reporting and tax information Working with the wider finance team to improve systems and processes Identifying opportunities to automate tasks and reduce manual processesWe’re looking for someone with previous accounts or finance experience who is keen to progress. You may currently be working as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant or part-qualified Management Accountant.
You’ll need good attention to detail, strong Excel skills and, importantly, the confidence to ask questions and suggest better ways of doing things.
