Assistant Manager – Full Time

• Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week.
• Pay: £31,449 - £32,648 per annum.

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Manager for our shop in Grantham, Lincolnshire. This permanent full‑time position involves a variety of shifts across 5 days per week, usually including at least one weekend shift.

For full‑time positions you will be expected to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.

Salary offered: £31,449.60 – £32,648.16 per annum on a 43‑hour contract. Additional benefits include:

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Develop the team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Act as shop manager in their absence; ensure customers are looked after, deliveries processed quickly, and routines maintained to keep the shop safe, clean, tidy.
• Drive operational cost control including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.
• Support recruitment and induction of new team members.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, hardworking approach.
• People skills – get on with everyone and build strong relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable, essential for a small team.
• Experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check.
