About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager in the operational leadership of their esteemed facility in Plymouth . This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of outstanding childcare, maintaining high standards of care and education, and fostering a positive environment for children, staff, and parents. You will assist in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations and management of the nursery.
- Supervise and support nursery staff, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs.
- Ensure the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and high standards of childcare practice.
- Support in managing admissions, fee collection, and parent communications, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and quality improvement.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children, overseeing health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education.
- Proven experience in a senior role within a nursery or childcare setting, with some supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
