As an Assistant Category Manager at Hyde, you will support the development and delivery of effective procurement strategies that secure value for money, meet public procurement requirements and strengthen supplier performance. You will manage procurement exercises, use market and spend analysis to inform decisions, and help embed social value, sustainability and ethical sourcing across our purchasing activity.

Key Duties

Support the development and implementation of category strategies through market research, spend analysis and category planning.

Manage end-to-end procurement exercises, including tender preparation, market engagement, evaluation and contract award.

Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, providing procurement and contract management advice.

Monitor supplier performance, procurement savings, contract compliance and risk, escalating issues where necessary.

Embed social value, sustainability, ethical sourcing and supplier diversity into procurement activity and reporting.

As an Assistant Category Manager we’re seeking someone who can bring:

Proven experience in tendering, procurement and contract management, with good knowledge of public procurement regulations and best practice.

Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration and relationship-building skills.

A proactive mindset and passion for delivering social value, sustainability and ethical procurement.

The ability to interpret market and spend data, identify opportunities and support evidence-based procurement decisions.
