Key Responsibilities
- Conduct rigorous research in educational technology, focusing on areas such as AI in education, online learning environments, and digital pedagogy, and disseminate findings through publications and presentations.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in educational technology, instructional design, and related subjects.
- Develop and implement innovative instructional materials and learning experiences utilizing a variety of digital tools and platforms.
- Provide consultation and support to faculty members on the effective integration of technology into their teaching practices.
- Collaborate with university IT services and other departments to evaluate, pilot, and implement new educational technologies.
- Contribute to departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives related to academic innovation and technology adoption.
Requirements
- A completed Doctorate (PhD or EdD) in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching at the university level, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
- A strong portfolio of scholarly research and publications in recognized academic journals and conferences.
- Proficiency with a range of educational technologies, Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard), and digital content creation tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Experience in leading or contributing to faculty development programs focused on technology integration.
