Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We're a London-based main contractor looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working across live residential and mixed-use development sites. Main Responsibilities

• Approaching consultants, subcontractors and suppliers for tendering
• Chase outstanding subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Negotiating with subcontractors, under supervision
• Reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications
• Identify discrepancies, exclusions and qualifications within subcontractor quotations.
• Confidently handling phone calls with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Sourcing construction materials from suppliers and online
• Carry out general commercial and administrative duties as required.
• Work closely with the construction team Skills Required
• Organised and focused
• Effective communicator
• Good working knowledge of construction materials
• Confident enough to challenge subcontractors and suppliers on price and programme
• Keen to develop and progress their career
• 2+ years' UK construction experience
