Assistant Resident Services Manager - North East London

We are working with an established residential property organisation to recruit an Assistant Resident Services Manager for a Build to Rent development in North East London.

This is an opportunity to combine property operations with resident service and team management. Working closely with the Senior RSM, the Assistant Resident Services Manager will help oversee the day-to-day running of the development and manage the Resident Services Associate team.

The working pattern includes one Saturday in every three.

Our client operates within the residential property sector and is focused on providing a high standard of service to residents and communities.

The successful candidate will join a wider team spanning resident services, lettings, facilities management and other operational functions, with collaboration central to the delivery of the site's service.

The role/responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior RSM, the Assistant Resident Services Manager will support the safe and effective operation of the development while helping the team deliver a positive resident experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing, training and mentoring the Resident Services Associate team, including responsibility for the team rota.
• Supporting day-to-day property operations, including void and unit management, end-of-tenancy processes, inspections, works orders and contractor liaison.
• Overseeing resident enquiries and escalated complaints, while supporting move-ins, move-outs and Right to Rent checks.
• Monitoring operational and service KPIs, resident feedback and online reviews to identify opportunities to improve the resident experience.
• Supporting health and safety requirements, audit processes and the management of communal and amenity areas.
• Helping deliver resident engagement initiatives and events across the development.
• Supporting weekly and monthly operational reporting and deputising for the Senior RSM when required.

As Assistant Resident Services Manager, you will also work with teams across the wider organisation to support the effective management of the site.

The skills needed/requirements

Property management experience is essential for this position.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• A working knowledge of residential property management and associated operational processes.
• Experience managing, training or mentoring a successful team.
• A working knowledge of delivering against operational or service targets.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen to residents and colleagues.
• The ability to build effective working relationships with residents, colleagues, contractors and other partners.
• A strong focus on customer service and the resident experience.
• The ability to manage competing day-to-day operational requirements and respond effectively to new challenges.

A property or customer service qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

This Assistant Resident Services Manager opportunity would suit someone with property management experience who wants to combine team management, site operations and resident service within a Build to Rent environment.
