Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a construction project in Wakefield, on a contract basis through to June 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a busy project team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the scheme.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of the project.
Coordinating subcontractors and site activities.
Monitoring progress, quality and health & safety on site.
Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the programme and required standards.
Attending site meetings and assisting with project coordination.
Maintaining high standards of site organisation and housekeeping.
Working closely with the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery.
About You
We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager with a solid construction background and previous experience working on steel frame projects.
You should have:
Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or similar site-based role.
Proven steel frame construction experience - essential.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety and site management.
Experience managing and coordinating subcontractors.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to work effectively within a project team and drive progress on site.
Relevant construction qualifications, including SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS, would be advantageous
