Assistant Store Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join their team in Reading . You will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, implementing visual merchandising strategies, and ensuring the store meets all operational and safety standards. We are looking for a strong leader with a passion for retail, excellent organizational skills, and a proven ability to motivate a team to achieve targets, contributing significantly to the store's success through direct on-site management and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations and performance management.
• Supervise and coach store staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and customer service.
• Assist in managing inventory, including stock control, ordering, and replenishment.
• Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance product appeal.
• Drive sales by ensuring effective sales techniques are used and promotions are well-executed.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, including sales, inventory, and merchandising.
