About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to support the management team in Wolverhampton . In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the store, focusing on driving sales, delivering outstanding customer service, and supporting staff development. You will work closely with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives, maintain high visual merchandising standards, and foster a positive and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening, closing, and cash management.
- Support sales staff in achieving individual and store sales targets through effective coaching and motivation.
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving inquiries and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure store standards for merchandising, cleanliness, and stock management are maintained.
- Contribute to staff training and development, onboarding new team members effectively.
- Deputise for the Store Manager in their absence, taking responsibility for store performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within retail.
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering positive shopping experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve sales goals.
- Good understanding of retail operations, including stock control and visual merchandising.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, to support the store's needs in this hybrid role.
