The successful candidate will support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient storage, handling, and distribution of building materials and merchant products.. . Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day running of the warehouse.
- Supervise warehouse staff and allocate daily workloads.
- Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Maintain stock accuracy through regular stock checks and inventory control.
- Coordinate incoming deliveries and inspect goods for quality and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records using inventory management systems.
- Liaise with the sales, purchasing, and transport teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor warehouse equipment and report maintenance requirements.
- Help improve warehouse efficiency while reducing stock loss and operational costs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably within the building materials or merchant sector.
- Good organisational and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of stock control and warehouse management systems.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
Experience: Required
Employment: Full-time
Salary: £31,300 – £42,000 yearly
