Skills and Competencies Proven ability to drive revenue through cross-sell and upsell opportunities within an existing client base, as well as through new client acquisition Strong consultative selling capability, with the ability to sell using a needs-based, solutions-oriented approach Demonstrated ability to influence key decision-makers throughout the full lifecycle of the sales process Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, combined with strong client relationship management experience Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex solutions Verbal and written German language skills are a strong plus, supporting effective engagement with clients and prospects across the German market Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet short deadlines, and work with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use Education Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required Responsibilities Drive revenue growth by developing new business opportunities and expanding relationships across an assigned portfolio of financial services clients within the German territory. Drive sales by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities within an assigned book of existing accounts, while also initiating sales activity with new prospects and managing sales cycles through to closure Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers to drive sales growth within the German sales territory for Moodys Credit Research, Ratings, and Analytics solutions Manage the full lifecycle sales process, including prospecting new clients, leveraging existing client relationships, delivering sales presentations, and leading contract negotiations Develop and maintain a strong understanding of client organizations and internal processes to guide clients toward appropriate products and licensing solutions Meet established revenue targets while building and strengthening customer relationships to ensure long-term client satisfaction Provide accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts and pipeline information to management Partner with Product Strategists, Marketing Strategists, and other internal stakeholders to leverage subject-matter expertise throughout the sales cycle and support the promotion of Moodys solutions Represent the company at industry and company-sponsored events throughout the territory, as required Operate effectively in a dynamic work environment, including up to 50% travel for face-to-face client engagement, while maintaining flexibility through a hybrid working model About the Team Our Sales team is responsible for driving revenue growth by building strong client relationships and delivering data-driven insights, research, and analytical solutions that support informed decision-making across financial markets.
