About the Role

Our client, a well-respected law firm, is seeking a dedicated Associate Solicitor specialising in Family Law to join their practice in Edinburgh . This role involves advising and representing clients on a range of sensitive matters, including divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and pre-nuptial agreements. You will manage your own caseload, provide empathetic and expert legal guidance, and strive for amicable resolutions where possible, while being fully prepared to represent clients robustly in court proceedings if necessary. Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on all aspects of family law , including divorce, separation, and child arrangements.
• Draft legal documents such as petitions, minutes of agreement, and court orders.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and court hearings.
• Manage complex financial arrangements arising from divorce proceedings.
• Provide support and guidance to clients throughout emotionally challenging legal processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and case management systems.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in Scotland with experience in family law .
• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in relevant family law matters.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive cases with discretion and empathy.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Familiarity with Scottish family law procedures and relevant legislation.
• Excellent client care skills and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.
