Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Audio Visual Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join our Service and Support team.
You will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), system health checks, service inspections, firmware updates, and lifecycle recommendations across a diverse portfolio of AV and Unified Communications technologies.
This is a field-based role covering customer sites throughout the Midlands and wider UK, ensuring mission-critical meeting room, collaboration, control room, and digital workplace technologies perform to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance visits to client sites in accordance with service contracts and agreed SLAs.
- Perform detailed inspections and operational testing of AV, VC, and UC systems.
- Check system performance, signal integrity, audio quality, video quality, and overall user experience.
- Conduct firmware and software updates where approved.
- Clean, inspect, and maintain AV equipment, racks, cabling, and associated infrastructure.
- Verify equipment configuration and ensure systems remain aligned to current standards and documentation.
Desirable skills
- Experience supporting and maintaining commercial AV and VC environments, Able to manage Client communications and escalations
- Ability to diagnose basic AV system faults.
- Experience using service management or ticketing systems.
- Strong understanding of AV signal flow and system architecture.
- Calm under pressure

- Ability to multi task and prioritise
- Excellent communicator on both telephone and email
