Audiovisual Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Audiovisual Technician to support their dynamic operations within the arts and entertainment sector in Nottingham . You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of audiovisual equipment for live events, exhibitions, presentations, and performances. This role requires strong technical acumen, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work flexibly in a hybrid model, adapting to the varied needs of different projects. You will ensure that all audiovisual elements contribute seamlessly to the overall audience experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and operate AV equipment including projectors, screens, sound systems, microphones, and lighting controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with AV equipment during live events or installations.
• Perform routine maintenance and checks on all AV hardware and software.
• Provide technical support and guidance to presenters, performers, and event organizers.
• Manage AV inventory and ensure equipment is stored and maintained appropriately.
• Stay current with new AV technologies and best practices in the industry.

Requirements

• Proven experience (3+ years) as an Audiovisual Technician , preferably within the events, theatre, or entertainment industry.
• Strong knowledge of AV equipment, signal flow, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with sound mixing, video projection, and presentation software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
