Our client is seeking a meticulous and diligent Auditor to join their team in Nottingham . This role involves conducting financial and operational audits to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations and internal controls. You will be responsible for examining financial records, identifying potential risks, and recommending improvements to processes. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute financial and operational audits in accordance with audit methodologies.
- Examine financial statements, transaction records, and internal control systems.
- Identify and assess risks and vulnerabilities within the organization's operations.
- Document audit findings and develop clear, actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports for management and relevant committees.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure effective implementation.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand business processes and controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIA) is highly desirable.
- 1-3 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field, preferably within financial services.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and audit procedures.
- Proficiency in data analysis and audit software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
