Location: Darlington
Contract: Term-time only
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday - Friday
Start:September start available

This SEND school supports pupils aged 2 to 19, many of whom have complex and multiple learning difficulties, as well as speech, language and communication needs, alongside physical or sensory challenges.

Role: Autism Support Worker
In this position, you will work closely with the Class Teacher and wider staff team to support pupils' education, wellbeing, and everyday care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all school policies and procedures
- Provide support with feeding, personal care, and hygiene when required
- Assist in lesson delivery by adapting activities, encouraging engagement, and supporting learning
- Help manage behaviour in line with the school's strategies
- Develop positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support communication and confidence
- Observe, track, and report on pupil progress, behaviour, and well-being
Essential Criteria (Non-Negotiables)
- Recent experience supporting children or adults with learning disabilities in care or educational settings
