Automated Gate Systems Installer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Automated Gate Systems Installer to join their expanding operations in Brighton . This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated gate systems, barriers, and associated access control equipment for residential and commercial clients. You will be responsible for ensuring systems are installed safely, reliably, and to the highest standards, contributing to property security and convenience. This is a practical, hands-on role requiring technical skill and a customer-focused approach, operating within the specialized area of Installation & Maintenance .

Key Responsibilities

• Install automated gate motors, control panels, safety sensors, and access control devices (e.g., keypads, intercoms).
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and fault finding on existing automated gate systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring systems operate smoothly and safely.
• Ensure all installations and repairs comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Read and interpret installation manuals and site plans to accurately complete work.
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining system operation and maintenance requirements to clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automated Gate Systems Installer , or a strong background in electrical installation or security systems.
• Good understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, mechanics, and basic fabrication/welding skills are advantageous.
• Experience with different types of automation systems (sliding, swing gates) and access control technology.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Must possess a full UK driving licence and be prepared to work across East Sussex and surrounding areas.
