About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented Automation & Control Systems Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. This role is entirely remote, allowing you to contribute to advanced industrial automation projects from the comfort of your own home office. You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of sophisticated control systems across various industries, including manufacturing and process control. Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLCs , SCADA systems , and HMI interfaces for industrial automation.
- Develop and implement custom control algorithms and logic to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated systems, both remotely and potentially on-site for critical deployments.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand automation needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in automation technology and implement them into new designs.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, programming code, and user manuals.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing industrial automation systems .
- Proficiency in programming multiple PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA software.
- Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and rectify complex control system issues remotely.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, essential for a remote engineering role.
