About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Automation Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team, operating with a hybrid work model that balances remote tasks with on-site collaboration in their Liverpool facility. This role is central to designing, implementing, and optimizing automated electrical systems for industrial processes and manufacturing plants. You will work on projects that enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity through advanced control technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial automation, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Program and commission PLCs from major manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Troubleshoot and repair automated electrical systems, identifying and resolving root causes of failure.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics and documentation for automated systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing manufacturing processes.
- Implement safety standards and procedures for automated machinery and electrical installations.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
- Proven experience with PLC programming and HMI/SCADA development.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 79).
- Experience with robotics integration and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup, with excellent communication skills.
