Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Automation / Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in maintaining, improving and developing automated production systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain, fault-find and improve automated manufacturing equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls and PLC faults.
* Support automation projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Work with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives and industrial control systems.
* Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and production teams.
* Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong electrical and controls/automation knowledge.
* Experience with PLC fault-finding and programming.
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Relevant electrical/engineering qualifications are desirable.
