Automotive Body Repair Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Body Repair Technician to join their busy accident repair center in Bristol . You will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition, performing high-quality repairs to both the structural and cosmetic aspects of the vehicle body. This role requires precision, a strong understanding of vehicle construction, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering excellent results for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair damaged vehicle bodies, including straightening metal, filling dents, and replacing panels.
• Perform structural repairs using specialized equipment such as chassis alignment jigs and welding apparatus.
• Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, priming, and masking.
• Ensure all repairs meet the manufacturer's specifications and industry standards for safety and finish.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Body Repair Technician or Panel Beater.
• Proficiency in using body repair tools and equipment, including welders, plasma cutters, and straightening systems.
• Good understanding of vehicle structural integrity and repair methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production targets.
• Relevant certifications or apprenticeships in automotive body repair are highly valued.
