Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dedicated, fully remote security operations center. This role is critical in safeguarding the connected vehicle ecosystem against evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security alerts, investigating potential breaches, and implementing proactive security measures across vehicle networks and backend systems. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor automotive network traffic and systems for security anomalies and potential threats using SIEM tools.
• Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and develop incident response plans.
• Implement and manage security controls, including intrusion detection/prevention systems and firewalls.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on connected vehicle systems and applications.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and best practices for remote security operations .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or a related security role.
• Familiarity with automotive security standards (e.g., ISO/SAE 21434) and common attack vectors.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, intrusion detection systems, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote capacity.
