Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Automotive Dealership Service Manager to oversee their busy service department in Portsmouth . This key role involves managing all aspects of the service operations, from customer reception to workshop productivity and financial performance. You will lead a team of service advisors and technicians, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient delivery of automotive maintenance and repair services. The ideal candidate has a strong background in dealership management and a passion for customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring optimal workflow and productivity.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of service advisors and automotive technicians .
- Ensure the highest standards of customer service are consistently delivered, handling complaints and resolving issues effectively.
- Oversee the scheduling and execution of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics.
- Monitor service department performance metrics, including profitability, customer satisfaction, and technician utilization.
- Manage workshop resources, including tools, equipment, and inventory, ensuring they are maintained and utilized effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager in an automotive dealership .
- Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyze financial reports and drive profitability within the service department.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
