About the Role
Our client seeks a meticulous and forward-thinking Automotive Diagnostic Specialist to enhance their service center operations in Birmingham . This role is crucial for accurately identifying complex vehicle faults, ensuring seamless repair processes, and upholding the highest standards of technical expertise. You will be working with a diverse range of vehicles, leveraging advanced diagnostic tools to solve intricate mechanical and electronic problems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth diagnostics on engine management, electronic systems , and complex mechanical faults using specialized equipment and software.
- Interpret diagnostic data, schematics, and technical service bulletins to pinpoint root causes of vehicle issues.
- Communicate technical findings clearly and concisely to service advisors and customers, explaining necessary repairs.
- Stay current with advancements in automotive technology, particularly in hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other technicians within the workshop.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Specialist or a similar advanced technical role.
- Certification in advanced vehicle diagnostics (e.g., IMI Level 4 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with OEM-specific diagnostic software and universal automotive diagnostic tools.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems, CAN bus networks, and sensor technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work methodically and accurately.
