Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on vehicle engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and emission control systems using advanced equipment.
• Identify the root causes of vehicle malfunctions and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Execute repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
• Utilize diagnostic software and technical service bulletins to stay updated on vehicle issues and repair procedures.
• Communicate technical findings and repair recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working order.
• Mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices in vehicle diagnostics.
• Keep detailed records of all diagnostic procedures, repairs performed, and parts used.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Automotive Diagnostic Technician , with a strong track record of diagnosing complex faults.
• Proficiency with modern vehicle diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and scan tools.
• In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, electronic fuel injection, ABS, SRS, and other vehicle systems.
• Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
