About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrical Engineer to join their evolving engineering department in Bradford . You will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of electrical systems and components for new vehicle models. This hybrid role allows for a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work, ensuring efficient project execution and team synergy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to the electrical architecture and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring harnesses, and power distribution systems for automotive applications.
• Select and specify electrical components, considering performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
• Integrate electrical systems with other vehicle subsystems, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Perform electrical testing and validation, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of electrical components.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical design processes and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in automotive electrical system design and development.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., Zuken E3.series, Mentor Graphics).
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay) and electrical standards.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and techniques for electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of EMC principles and compliance requirements.
