About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for their innovative vehicle range in Stoke-on-Trent . You will play a key role in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing electrical components and systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory standards. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive electrical architecture and a passion for driving technological advancements in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and components for automotive applications, including wiring harnesses, ECUs, and sensors.
- Create detailed schematics, diagrams, and documentation for electrical systems.
- Perform testing and validation of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during vehicle development and production phases.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in automotive electrical engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in automotive electrical system design .
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS Electrical, EPLAN).
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN).
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architecture and power distribution.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
