About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer to join their dedicated team in Belfast . You will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex electrical systems for a variety of automotive applications. This role involves working closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and suppliers to ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of electrical components and architectures. You will contribute to innovative projects, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring harnesses, and component specifications for automotive systems.
- Perform testing and validation of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into vehicle platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues encountered during development and production phases.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for project reviews and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in automotive electrical systems design and development.
- Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., EPLAN , CADSTAR ).
- Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN) and power distribution systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
