About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team in Belfast . This role involves the design, development, and integration of complex electrical systems for automotive applications. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical architectures and schematics for automotive systems.
• Specify and select electrical components, including sensors, actuators, ECUs, and wiring harnesses.
• Perform system-level testing and validation of electrical components and sub-systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during vehicle development and production phases.
• Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and regulations for electrical systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in automotive electrical system design and development.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle communication networks (e.g., CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
• Experience with ECAD tools for schematic design and harness routing.
• Familiarity with automotive functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for complex electrical challenges.
