Automotive Electrician Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Automotive Electrician Specialist to join their state-of-the-art facility in Newcastle upon Tyne . This position focuses on the diagnosis, repair, and installation of all automotive electrical systems, from basic lighting circuits to complex integrated electronic control units. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicle electrical systems are functioning optimally, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. The successful candidate will be meticulous, adept at troubleshooting intricate electrical issues, and committed to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in automotive electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, and control modules.
• Install and configure aftermarket electronic accessories, such as navigation systems, audio equipment, and parking sensors.
• Perform checks and repairs on vehicle lighting systems, including headlights, taillights, and interior lighting.
• Utilize diagnostic software and equipment to pinpoint electrical issues accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all electrical repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
• Provide clear explanations of diagnostic findings and repair recommendations to service advisors and customers.

Requirements

• Experience as an Automotive Electrician or in a similar electrical repair role.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical principles, circuit diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Familiarity with CAN bus systems and vehicle networking is advantageous.
• Relevant vocational training or certifications in automotive electrical systems.
• A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
