About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Automotive Electrician to join their dedicated service centre in Manchester . This role involves diagnosing and repairing complex electrical systems in a wide variety of vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical components function correctly, from basic lighting and battery systems to advanced electronic control units and infotainment systems. This is a hands-on position for a specialist who enjoys troubleshooting intricate wiring harnesses and electrical faults, contributing to a team committed to providing reliable automotive solutions and maintaining high standards of customer service in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive electrical faults, including wiring issues, battery problems, and sensor malfunctions.
• Install and service automotive electrical accessories, such as lighting systems, alarm systems, and audio equipment.
• Work with diagnostic software and tools to interpret electrical schematics and fault codes.
• Perform checks and maintenance on vehicle charging and starting systems.
• Ensure all electrical repairs are completed to manufacturer standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or a strong background in vehicle electrical systems.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical principles, components, and diagnostic procedures.
• Proficiency in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive electrical repair are preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
