About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrician to join their workshop in Brighton . This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of a wide variety of vehicles. You will work with modern diagnostic equipment to identify faults and implement effective solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of vehicle electrical principles and is adept at troubleshooting complex wiring systems and electronic components, contributing to a team dedicated to high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicle systems, including lighting, ignition, starting, and charging systems.
• Install and maintain automotive electrical components, such as alarms, audio systems, and GPS trackers.
• Use diagnostic equipment and oscilloscopes to identify electrical issues.
• Perform routine electrical system checks and preventative maintenance.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals to guide repair procedures.
• Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in a safe, efficient manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and components.
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and multimeters.
• Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and technical documentation.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications or vocational qualifications are highly desirable.
