About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Automotive Electrician to join their specialist workshop in Glasgow . This role focuses on the diagnosis, repair, and installation of electrical systems in a variety of vehicles. You will be working with complex wiring, electronic control units, and advanced diagnostic equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive electrical principles and a passion for problem-solving within the automotive sector. This is a hands-on role requiring precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems, including lighting, starting, charging, and ignition systems.
• Install and maintain auxiliary electrical equipment, such as alarms, audio systems, and navigation units.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and technical specifications to perform accurate repairs.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify electrical issues and program electronic control units (ECUs).
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, meeting company standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, components, and diagnostics.
• Ability to read and understand complex wiring schematics and technical manuals.
• Experience with automotive diagnostic equipment and software.
• A qualification in Automotive Electrical Systems or a related discipline is advantageous.
