About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrician to join their dedicated team in Milton Keynes . Specializing in the complex electrical systems of modern vehicles, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all electrical components, from basic wiring to sophisticated electronic control units. This role requires a meticulous approach and a deep understanding of automotive electronics. You will work on a variety of vehicle makes and models, troubleshooting issues that require a keen electrical aptitude. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in automotive electrical systems, including lighting, battery, charging, and starter circuits.
• Install and test new electrical components, such as alarms, navigation systems, and parking sensors.
• Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to accurately troubleshoot and repair complex circuits.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and multimeters to identify electrical faults and failures.
• Maintain detailed records of all diagnostic procedures, repairs, and parts used.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and vehicle manufacturer standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or a qualified Electrician with demonstrable automotive experience.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical principles and systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
• Ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of CAN bus systems and other modern vehicle communication networks is a plus.
• A valid driving licence is required for potential mobile diagnostic work in the Milton Keynes area.
