Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Electronics Engineer to join their innovative team in Portsmouth . This role focuses on the design, development, and integration of electronic control units (ECUs) and related systems for vehicles. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic circuits and PCB layouts for automotive ECUs.
• Integrate electronic systems with vehicle networks and other components.
• Perform circuit simulations, schematic capture, and hardware testing.
• Troubleshoot and debug electronic hardware issues encountered during development or production.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
• Document designs, test results, and specifications according to company and industry standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive electronics design.
• Proficiency with ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
• Experience with hardware testing, measurement equipment, and debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with automotive functional safety and cybersecurity concepts is a plus.
