Automotive Electronics Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Automotive Electronics Technician to join their innovative research and development team in Cambridge . This hybrid role will involve supporting the development, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic systems for vehicles. You will work closely with engineers to bring new automotive technologies to life, ensuring the functionality and reliability of complex electronic components and modules. Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and test electronic prototypes and development boards for automotive applications.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and sensor systems.
• Assist engineers in setting up test equipment and executing validation procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, test results, and component failures.
• Support the integration of electronic systems into vehicle test platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers on documentation, reporting, and problem resolution in a hybrid setting.

Requirements

• HND or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working with electronic components, circuits, and test equipment.
• Familiarity with automotive electronics and vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN bus).
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and soldering equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills for work in Cambridge .
