About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Reading . This position involves the design, development, and testing of automotive components and systems, contributing to the advancement of vehicle performance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for vehicles, including powertrain, chassis, and suspension.
- Utilize CAD software and simulation tools for design, analysis, and virtual testing.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of components and systems to meet performance and durability targets.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and production.
- Analyze test data and performance metrics to identify areas for design improvement.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations on design concepts and project progress.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in automotive CAD/CAE software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, ANSYS).
- Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, material science, and manufacturing processes relevant to automotive applications.
- Experience with vehicle testing and validation procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills.
