Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for automotive applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Create detailed CAD models , drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software.
- Conduct engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis, to validate designs.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into production.
- Support the testing and validation of prototypes, analyzing results and recommending design improvements.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in automotive technology and propose innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in automotive mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and experience with analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS).
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to the automotive industry .
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment in Plymouth .
