About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Paint Sprayer to join their well-equipped bodyshop in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting and applying high-quality paint finishes to meet exacting standards. This role requires precision, consistency, and a keen eye for detail to ensure flawless results. You will work with a variety of paint systems and modern spray equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
• Mix and match paint colours accurately to achieve a perfect match with the existing finish.
• Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat finishes evenly and consistently using spray guns.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Maintain spray equipment, paint mixing systems, and the spray booth in clean and working order.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Keep accurate records of paint usage and job details.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Paint Sprayer or Bodyshop Painter.
• Thorough understanding of surface preparation techniques and paint application processes.
• Skill in colour matching and mixing automotive paints.
• Familiarity with various types of paint systems (e.g., water-based, solvent-based).
• Ability to operate spray guns and related equipment effectively.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment.
