Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming to ensure a smooth finish.
• Mix paints accurately to match existing vehicle colours, using colour-matching equipment and systems.
• Apply paint coatings evenly and consistently using spray guns, ensuring proper application techniques and appropriate pressure.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as runs, sags, or imperfections, and rectify as necessary.
• Maintain spray booths and painting equipment, ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and environmental standards related to paint spraying.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Paint Sprayer or Bodyshop Painter.
• Strong understanding of paint preparation, mixing, and application techniques.
• Proficiency in using various types of spray guns and paint-matching systems.
• A good eye for colour matching and an understanding of different paint finishes.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
• A commitment to maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
