About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Painter to join their dedicated bodyshop team in Norwich . You will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces and applying high-quality paint finishes to achieve factory standards. This role requires precision, consistency, and a deep understanding of paint types, application techniques, and colour matching. You will play a critical role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring customer satisfaction with flawless paintwork, contributing to the high reputation of our client's bodyshop services.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
• Mix paints to match manufacturer colour codes and ensure consistency.
• Apply primers, base coats, and clear coats using spray equipment.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform necessary rectifications.
• Maintain a clean and organised spray booth and painting equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Painter or Bodyshop Painter.
• Knowledge of various paint systems, application techniques, and colour matching.
• Proficiency with spray guns and other painting equipment.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
