Automotive Parts Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Advisor to manage their busy parts department in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and supplying vehicle parts to both the workshop and retail customers. This role requires excellent product knowledge, strong inventory management skills, and a commitment to providing efficient and accurate service. You will be a crucial link in ensuring the smooth operation of the service department and customer satisfaction through timely parts availability, contributing to the overall success of the dealership's operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately identify and source automotive parts required by the workshop and retail customers using electronic catalogue systems.
• Manage parts inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are processed efficiently.
• Receive, check, and store incoming parts, maintaining an organized and tidy stockroom.
• Process parts orders and payments, handling customer inquiries and providing advice on part suitability.
• Liaise with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of parts.

Requirements

• Experience in an automotive parts department or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle components and part numbers.
• Proficiency with parts management software and electronic catalogues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A methodical approach to inventory management and stock control.
